He is the President of Navacchio Technology Pole (Pisa), one of the main settlements ICT companies in Italy: he is in charge of maintaining relationships with the shareholders, building a network of investors and promoting open innovation for companies inside and outside the Pole.
First generation entrepreneur, he has founded three businesses: 3logic, digital company born in Pisa in 2001, with 15 young engineers and computer scientists, specialized in integrated hardware/software, augmented reality and indoor positioning; SpazioDati, based both in Trento and Pisa, which is the leading Italian technology start-up to work on semantic web and corporate data; Tunia, organic wine company that he founded with his sister, who is a winemaker, in Arezzo, renovating old vineyards.
Since 2013 he is National vice president of CNA with delegation on digital and innovation and responsible for CNA Digital.
He has been National President of the Young Entrepreneurs of CNA for four years. From 2011, he presides over Linked Open Data Italy, an association whose goal is spreading the semantic web and open data in Italy.
In 2010, he launched CNA NeXT to describe the “new hybrid handicraft” and promote the debate and dissemination of success cases in the organizational models distributed though a large annual public meeting hosting Italian and foreign scientists, entrepreneurs and intellectuals.
