Carlo Purassanta was appointed General Manager of Microsoft Italy on January 2013. Previously he served as Enterprise Services Area Lead for Microsoft France.
Before joining Microsoft in 2011, Purassanta worked at IBM for over fourteen years, leading several segments in France and Europe. He served as Network Services Executive, Director of Infrastructure Services and Senior Business Development Executive for Strategic Outsourcing in Southwest Europe. He was also the official IBM’s spokesperson on cloud strategy.
Purassanta is 42 years old. He was born in Milan, and has been living in Rome, Milan, Paris and Madrid. He graduated at Politecnico di Milano University and then moved to France. He also studied in the UK for an MBA at the Henley Business School. On a more personal basis, he likes to travel, play tennis, listen to and play music with Microsoft Italy Band TheSparks, and is fond of photography and architecture.
