Stefano Venturi is Corporate Vice President and Managing Director of Hewlett Packard Group Italy. In this role he has held since 2011, Mr. Venturi is in charge of leading the group’s activities and steering its growth in the Italian market.
Having started his professional career at Olivetti in 1979, Stefano Venturi joined HP in 1984 and held numerous positions within the company including Software Engineer and Sales Engineer. In 1991 Mr. Venturi left Hewlett-Packard to assume the role of Country Manager at Wyse Technology Italy and later joined Sun Microsystems as Managing Director EMEA South. He then served as CEO of Cisco Italy for 15 years. His last role at Cisco was as Vice President Europe for Public Sector. Mr. Venturi has also held the role of Member of the Board of Italtel from 2001 to 2004 and is currently a Member of the Board of Cefriel.
Mr. Venturi holds the role of President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Italy since July 2014, after serving for many years as VP. He is also Vice President of Assinform with delegation for ‘Education’ and Member of the Board of Directors of Confindustria Digitale leading the Steering Committee “Digital Culture and Competencies”.
After holding several institutional roles in Assolombarda during last years, since October 2015 Mr. Venturi is Member of the Presidental Committee of Assolombarda Confindustria Milano Monza e Brianza with “Digital Agenda and StartUp” portfolio. He’s also member of the Advisory Board of Confindustria Foreign Investors Committee.
Following his return to Hewlett-Packard, Mr. Venturi has steered the company through a period of great change in Italy, positioning the company with institutional and business interlocutors as a major partner and a “change agent” able to help Italy innovate and plan its own restructuring and revitalization.
